.Undenatured whey protein

.

.Undenatured whey protein is a concentrated source of all the amino acids. It is a complete protein food. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant produced in the cells. It’s comprised largely of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine – all found in abundance in UNDENATURED whey protein.

Conditions that can benefit from glutathione include:

  • diabetes
  • cancer
  • rheumatoid arthritis

Most whey protein in sports nutrition will not increase glutathione levels. Many use high temperature processing to extract the whey. Only UNDENATURED (intact) whey protein that employs unique filtering and processing methods to extract the whey from the protein can generate intracellular glutathione.

This microfiltering process ensures that the two cysteine molecules remain linked together and can sustain the trip through the digestive system to be converted to glutathione by every cell in the body.

Undenatured whey protein and cancer

Studies suggest whey protein also contains bioactive compounds, such as lactoferrin, which demonstrate anticancer effects by inhibiting cancer cell growth and boosting the immune system. Whey protein also appears to modulate signalling pathways involved in cancer development, potentially slowing its progression. Additionally, it may ENHANCE THE EFFICIENCY AND REDUCE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF CONVENTIONAL CANCER TREATMENTS LIKE CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADIATION THERAPY.

Click here to read why the whey protein MUST be undenatured

You can buy the whey from the above site – but here’s some that’s a bit less expensive:-

Amount for adults

20g of whey protein per serving is the ideal amount to consume. It maximizes the amount of whey proteins your body can digest and absorb in a 1.5 hour period.

Invalids and athletes in training may benefit from up to 60g (three servings) of whey protein per day.

Can children take undenatured whey protein?

Yes they certainly can!

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet, eating her curds and whey . . .”

.

.

Whey is quite simply food. There is no problem with side effects or worry about conflicts with medication. And because whey is just food the amounts are not particularly critical. So, for example:

5g for a toddler

10g for a 4-yr old

15g for a 7yr-old

20g from 10-yrs

Preparation

The quickest and simplest way to take whey powder is to add a small amount of fruit juice and stir until a smooth paste – then gradually add more fruit juice while continuing to stir.

Add to smoothies

.

Whey power can be added into any smoothie – at the very end of the process – using a slow speed or short pulse action (see caution below)

.

Instant raspberry ‘ice cream’

This is a delicious way to take whey protein and wheatgerm – and it takes only minutes to prepare. Great for children!

Mix the whey powder with a little yoghurt or kefir (just enough to make a thick smooth paste) Crush some frozen raspberries (about a small handful of raspberries per scoop of whey) Immediately stir the raspberries into the whey/yoghurt paste

The result looks and tastes like soft raspberry ice cream – delicious Serve in a bowl(s) and eat with a spoon Or add more liquid and drink like a smoothie

Note: as you are preparing either the raspberry ‘ice cream’ or a smoothie  you can mix in wheatgerm with the whey powder to provide vital co-factors for the synthesis of glutathione

Caution

The proteins in undenatured whey protein are very fragile. Do not heat it or add it to hot liquids. Do not use a high-powered blender to mix. Heat and severe mechanical action will break down the protein and diminish the usefulness of the product.

Undenatured whey protein is a dehydrated powder. It must be rehydrated with liquids before use. If left standing too long after mixing, the usefulness of the product may be reduced. It is generally recommended to consume the product within 30 minutes of mixing.

Hertz-heimer Reaction

When the body is supplied with the nutrients it needs for every cell to produce glutathione effectively, it immediately sets to work to cleanse the whole system. Glutathione ‘handcuffs’ pathogens, toxins and pollutants and flushes them out of the body. So expect some temporary cleansing symptoms such as a productive cough or nasal catarrh. This is known as a Hertz- heimer Reaction – an encouraging sign that the the immune system is becoming more effective and doing the job it’s meant to do.

Raw wheatgerm

.

.

.

Raw (but not stabilized) wheatgerm is a rich source of many nutrients that are stripped away when the grain is refined. It is a quick and effective way to restore deficiencies caused by eating refined foods – and it contains a small but significant amount of cysteine, that vital but scarce glutathione ‘building block’. You can sprinkle it on your breakfast cereal, add it to smoothies, or mix it in with the raspberry ‘ice cream’ recipe below.

.

You can buy raw wheatgerm here

Ground linseed

.

.

Linseed is an excellent source of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids. You can grind them and add them to your smoothie (whole seeds tend to pass straight through the digestive system without releasing their nutrients). Blend approximately a dessertspoon of linseed to a fine powder.

.

.

If you have a coffee grinder this will very quickly produce a fine flour from the linseed.

If you don’t have a coffee grinder – and find that you have trouble blending the dry linseed – try soaking them in a little water overnight – then blend both the seeds and the soak-water.

Tip: After adding ground linseed to your smoothie don’t leave it too long before you drink it – otherwise it will become too thick.

Molasses

When sugar is refined what’s left is molasses, which is so incredibly nutrient-rich that it is given to cattle to keep them healthy, while we eat the stuff that makes us unhealthy!

This means that, not only do we miss out on these vital nutrients when we consume sugar, butt we have to use up our own body stores of these vital nutrients,  in order to metabolize sugar!

A double whammy!

So taking molasses is an excellent, inexpensive way to top up our nutrient ‘bank accounts’. You can buy organic molasses at your local health shop.

.

.

Tip: Put half of the molasses in another jar and top up with very hot water. Stir until well mixed. The will make a pourable consistency. Keep in the fridge and use as needed.

.

Toffee milk (great for kids)

Add the pourable molasses to milk, stir and you have a toffee-tasting milk drink that your children will love. To begin with add only a small amount of molasses to the milk. You can and increase gradually as the kids get used to it. Try it yourself, too – it’s delicious!

.

Hot lemon and molasses

.

.

Pour boiling water on molasses and stir. Add lemon juice and stir again. The amounts of both the molasses and the lemon juice are to taste. Start with small amounts of molasses and build up gradually as you get the taste for it.
